About CeeSix

Award-Winning DJ, Host & Radio Presenter

Mixing the hottest tunes with his witty and charismatic charm, radio presenter and international DJ CeeSix is one of the most valuable presenters on the music scene having travelled the world broadcasting his talent in Europe, the US, the Caribbean and Africa.

Following in his father’s footsteps, CeeSix, real name Colin Aldridge, started djing when he was 16. His dad was in the reggae sound system Taurus Hi Power, and during his childhood CeeSix loved to watch his dad and his friends, studying their every move so he could emulate them with his brother, Jason. As a teenager CeeSix saved up his pocket money to buy vinyl and started to mix - the first record he bought was Mr Mention by Buju Banton. His first gig was a family gathering – he was 16-years-old and his dad let him play the music most of the night. He still remembers how nervous he was but learnt so much that night – both good and bad –it was clear he had found his calling.

The name CeeSix is a legacy from a private number plate he bought for the car he had when he was 18-years-old, C6. Since then the name has become his DJ moniker although originally he was known as DJ Cee or Mr Cee. He formed the Black Ice collective in 1999 and with his quick wit and funny personality got a slot on PowerJam community radio station where he hosted a breakfast show for three years. That was a great opportunity and the invitations to play at different gigs started flooding in - including a Friday night residency at Porky’s Wine bar in Streatham, south-west London. In 2004 he became the third member of Blaze it Up Entertainments set up with his school friends Houdini and Glama. Their success soared as they played at hundreds of events across the UK, promoted their own events and hosted radio shows.

CeeSix continues to create a buzz on the club scene since winning the CMA Award in 2011 for Best Club DJ and is a highly sought after DJ.

Regular clients of the London based DJ include Tramp Nightclub, actor Stanley Tucci, TV personality Fred Sirieix, filmmaker Fredi Kruga and entrepreneur Afridiziak, he’s had shows on community radio stations MetroLove, Blues FM, Blazing FM, Whoa FM, Riddim Radio, Bang Radio and now OnTop FM.
